Learning Paths
Structured programs that sequence Academy courses toward a clear goal, so you always know what to learn next and why it matters.
Knowing what to study is half the challenge. Each learning path orders Academy courses so every one builds on the skills of the last, then finishes with a capstone that ties the work together.
Courses are listed in the order we recommend taking them. Each links to its full curriculum.
Who it's for: complete beginners, college students and self-directed learners who want to understand markets and write their first analysis code.
Capstone idea: a notebook that loads daily prices for two ETFs tracking the same index, compares their behavior and sets out a written risk plan for a hypothetical paper portfolio.
Who it's for: developers and engineering students who want to turn trading ideas into tested Python code.
Capstone idea: a tested indicator library feeding a rule-based strategy, with a backtest report that includes commissions, slippage and drawdown analysis.
Who it's for: aspiring quant researchers and analysts who want to study systematic strategies with statistical rigor.
Capstone idea: a momentum or value factor study with sensitivity and regime analysis, written up as a research report that documents assumptions and limitations.
Who it's for: data scientists and analysts who want to apply machine learning and NLP to financial data responsibly.
Capstone idea: a headline sentiment pipeline that ingests and validates text data, classifies it and presents results with honest error analysis on a research dashboard.
Who it's for: software engineers who want to design strategies and build the research tooling that tests them end to end.
Capstone idea: a small research service that runs parameterized backtests, stores the results and serves a robustness dashboard through a documented API.
Paths are a recommendation, not a requirement. You can take any course on its own once you meet its prerequisites, or combine courses with a live bootcamp for more structure.
Market concepts and Python skills that every later course relies on.
Strategy rules, backtests or data pipelines, depending on the path you choose.
Factor research, machine learning or application engineering for your goal.
One substantial project that demonstrates the path's skills together.
